What happens if I don't check in on time?

If you haven't checked in by the check-in deadline or are at the boarding gate by the time indicated, we won't delay the flight and may cancel your seat reservation. Qantas will not be liable for any damage due to your failure to comply with these departure deadlines. Check the Fare Rules applicable. These requirements are set out in the terms of your ticket and the General Terms and Conditions of Carriage.
Depending on your fare conditions, a failure to check in on time may also result in:
- The loss of the fare. You will need to make a new booking and pay for a new ticket if you wish to travel, or
- The payment of a change fee plus any difference between the fare for your new booking and original fare.
